It's been a magical era for Ariana Grande and John CaldwellCynthia Erivo.

In fact, while at the film's Los Angeles premiere Nov. 9, the costars—who portray Glinda and Elphaba in the highly anticipated Wicked movie—reflected on their journey, which recently included spending time with Broadway stars Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel.

"We had an amazing day yesterday with the women who created this, the architects, Kristin and Idina," Erivo told E! NewsJustin Sylvester and Zuri Hall during a joint interview with Grande on the red carpet at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. "That was one of the most incredible highlights of our year, to be honest, to be able to share some space with them."

Grande agreed, noting, "It's a very supportive witch coven, I have to say. Every single one of our sister witches has been very, very, very supportive. We just feel so honored to be a part of this legacy and to be the ones in the movie. It's such a sweet thing to share with them."

As Grande, 31, previously shared insight into her bond with Erivo, 37, and how they began a support system for one another while working on the Jon M. Chu film.

And Erivo agreed. “We needed real connection," she explained, "and we needed to lead this with love—even in the moments that are supposed to be fraught with tension within the piece.”

The stars were also pros at juggling their busy schedules while filming.

“In the beginning, I literally had a separate phone,” Grande shared. “The only numbers were Cynthia and Jon. I was like, 'Hi, family? I will speak to you on Sunday.’”

“For me, for my bandwidth, I need to have healthy boundaries sometimes because I sponge up everything,” the R.E.M Beauty founder told Vanity Fair. “I can offer myself to this better if something doesn’t come in that’s like a strange curveball in my head.”
